These FreeZone Legacy freeze dryers have an upright stainless steel collector coil (PTFE-coated collector on 03338-05 and -15) with clear acrylic lid that holds 2.5 liters of ice before defrosting. The -50oC (-58oF) dryers have a single 1/3 hp HCFC/CFC-free refrigeration system which are suitable for aqueous samples. The dryers are easy to operate with push button control and LCD display. User configured to display vacuum (mBar, Torr, or Pa), and temperature (oC or oF). Other displays include total hours of refrigeration system operation, time since refrigeration system was serviced, total hours of vacuum pump operation, and hours since vacuum pump was serviced. Unit also has LED of vacuum and temperature "waves" for display of relative system vacuum and collector temperature.
Alarm feature flashes and beeps if any abnormal system events have occured, including: power failure, improper line voltage supply, collector temperature above -40°C, vacuum pump service needed, and moiture in collector. RS-232 port transmits data at user supplied intervals of 10, 30, 60, 300, or 600 seconds. Other features include; 3" diameter port for connection of drying accessories (sold separately), moisture sensor, vacuum break valve, retractable 9" collector drain hose, and electrical receptacle for vacuum pump connection.
All models require (not included) vacuum pump with a displacement of at leat 98 liters per minute, 0.002 mBar ultimate pressure and fitting suitable for 3/4" ID vacuum hose, drying accessories, and freeze dry glassware.
